Ep. 120: Suspension of Disbelief with Peter Roux

On this episode we interview artist Peter Roux. We talk about "suspension of disbelief" within paintings, balancing art making with the admin side of running a business, using artwork as catalysts for experiences, and thinking about different ways to get an art education.

Artist  | Asheville, North Carolina

Artist Bio:

I'm a full-time artist living and working in Asheville, North Carolina. I've been working professionally for about 22 years. I'm represented by galleries in various US markets as well as abroad and online, and also sell directly through my website and social media. I was an adjunct professor until about 10 years ago, until my studio practice began to allow me to work exclusively on creating and selling work. I primarily use landscape and the natural world as my subject, but I see it as a platform for exploring how we see as much as what we see. I work in oils, and also create drawings and monotypes.
