Artist Bio:

Joel Pominville is a self proclaimed “distracted creative professional”. After studying architecture and business, he spent the first eight years of his career working for the American Institute of Architects in Washington D.C., New Orleans, and ultimately Raleigh.

In 2024 he left his career in association management to pursue a career in food and hospitality. He is the Kitchen Manager of Patty Boy, Durham Food Hall’s newest restaurant from the owners of Centro, Gallo Pelon, and EX-VOTO.

Since November of 2022, Joel has served as host of CreativeMornings RDU, the local chapter of a global monthly breakfast lecture series. 

Since its founding twelve years ago, CreativeMornings RDU has hosted 135 free, open-to-the-public events with nearly 150 speakers, ranging from painters and singers to scientists and chefs. Joel is also an Urban Sketcher and founder of the New Orleans Urban

Sketchers and CAM Raleigh Urban Sketchers “Triangle Travel” monthly meet-ups.
