Ekaterina Popova is a visual artist, author, coach, podcast host, founder of Create! Magazine, and the Art Queens community platform. Born in Russia and based in Philadelphia, Kat's work delves into themes of home, place, and identity, shaped by her experiences as an immigrant. Her oil paintings of interiors and landscapes, influenced by post-impressionism, fauvism, and magical realism, explore the emotional resonance of light, color, and space. Kat has an art degree from Kutztown University, and her work has been exhibited in galleries across the globe, from Paris to New York.
In addition to her art practice, Kat is committed to empowering other artists to take control of their careers. She founded Create! Magazine in 2013, building a global platform that highlights emerging artists, and partners with curators, galleries, and art fairs. Through Art Queens, the artist community she established, and her "Art & Cocktails" podcast, Kat continues to provide support, inspiration, and practical tools to help artists find success in their art careers. She has also co-authored two books, The Complete Smartist Guide and The Creative Business Handbook.
