Artist | Raleigh, NC

Artist Bio:

My art explores self-awareness through emotional observation. Influenced by societal norms and my own expectations, I formed a pattern of suppressing my emotions, leading to feelings of disconnection and a loss of identity. Through my figurative art, I reconnect with these emotions to deepen my self-understanding. My creative process is a journey of mindfulness, grounded in meditation, journaling, and drawing. Paintings are built up in layers, allowing intuitive expression without worrying about the outcome. In these initial layers, my subconscious finds its voice, conveying emotions that I interpret and direct, shaping the overall feeling of the painting. My art evolves alongside my internal exploration, serving as a mirror to reflect on who I am and how emotions have shaped my identity. I aspire for my artwork to provide a distinct female perspective on self-discovery, inspiring viewers to embark on their own journeys of emotional awareness.
